A new wastewater treatment plant was built in the Metsä-Sairala area of Mikkeli, Finland. The construction of the plant was part of the broader EcoSairala 2020+ iniative, which aims to create an innovative circular economy business, research, and development environment alongside the existing waste management centre.
Our part of the project lasted 1.5 years, with installation work carried out by an experienced team of over 20 professionals. In addition to the installations, we were responsible for site supervision and project management. The total length of the installed piping was 12.5 km (DN-900), and the delivery also included installation and commissioning of all equipment related to wastewater treatment.
Built inside solid rock, the treatment plant is on of the most modern wastewater facilities in both Europe and the world. The client and other project stakeholders have been extremely satisfied with our work, and our collaboration continues in various forms.
