Immersed-type electrode boilers

In an Immersed-type electrode boiler, the electrodes are permanently submerged in water. The boiler generates heat rapidly when voltage is applied between the electrodes – the water acts as an electrical resistor and heats up almost instantly.

Immersed electrode boilers are ideal for applications such as district heating plants, building heating, and industrial processes that require hot water or steam.

CTI has chosen ACME’s technology – a pioneer in high-voltage electric boilers – as the foundation for its boiler systems. The boilers are CE-certified and designed in compliance with the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED).

Our Immersed boilers convert virtually all supplied electricity into heat. Energy losses are minimal, making the solution highly energy-efficient. Power output is adjusted simply by changing the exposed surface area between the electrodes and the counter-electrode, by raising a protective shield around the electrodes. Immersed boilers are suitable for producing both hot water and medium-pressure steam, delivering efficient heat across a control range of approximately 7–100 %.
